Morrison St Cafe and Gallery Exhibition -Andy Elliot

For the next three weeks these art works are on display in Morrison St Cafe and Gallery in Nelson. The exhibition is titled"Shades of Grey" and is a collection of black and white acrylic paintings on boxed canvas. Its been a busy year and I'm looking foward to picking up the brushes again next year

Headlands lost in the salt spray, this painting has a slightly textured outside boarder. This is one of series of painting I have for sale at The Escape Gallery, Nelson.

Back on the black and white theme. This is a 10' by 30' painting of a lone Beech tree, with hills in the background. I really like this and have plans for others in this series.

Solitude -Artist Andy Elliot

Was driving home from work a few weeks ago and there was some sailing races in the Nelson harbour, the sails looks so striking that I had to take a photo. This is painted in Acrylic on a 60 X 40cm canvas. This will be for sale in Cafe Affair, Nelson till the end on June.

Our friends Richie and Lou recently got married and this was their wedding present. The image came off their wedding invitation and of course I added some artistic licence. This was the beach on which they got married.

Red Beech

I've been asked to paint some more abstract type trees so here's the first.
I've used a blue base for this painting, then used crackle medium over top, followed by red.
And just for a change a Beech Tree silouette in the foreground.

This black and white painting is of a wind swept Manuka Tree at the top of the sand dunes on Pohara Beach, Golden Bay.
